I went to Junior High with a kid whose parents put a lot of pressure on their only child to achieve in school. His parents would put him in a private high school, and I never heard anything more about him until we heard that when his parents came home from work one day they would find him hanging from one of the rafters in their basement!
I had a High School librarian who had 3 sons that she and her husband would put pressure on them to excel and go on to their Alma Mater! The youngest couldn’t cut it and left college. While he was home, he buried an ax into the back of his Father’s skull while he was watching TV and then went up to his parents bedroom where he stabbed his Mother to death!
And that is all I’m going to say about that!
