In the case of Northern Ireland it be both meaning being un-unified from the UK and re-unified with Ireland. In the case of Scotland and Wales it would be just an un-unification unless they re-join the EU and then you could say both! While Scotland and Northern Ireland voted to remain in the EU, both England and Wales voted to Brexit! Un-unification would not be great for the Prince of Wales, so say goodbye to future King Billy!
In Asia it would be just a re-unification for Taiwan and Korea. The difference here is while the UK is in decline China is a rising power! The question for Korea is who would be calling the shots there, the North or the South? In the USA if there is a unification it would only be an un-unification like along blue state and red state lines! Will the world un-unify from the UN like they did with the League of Nations?
