“Connecticut dairy farmers, are getting a massive boost after Gov. Ned Lamont gave the green light to distribute $22.5 million in state aid to prop up the state’s struggling dairy farming industry grappling with federally set low milk prices, tariffs and high costs of production. Farmers have struggled to cover production costs, and dwindling state subsidies haven’t been sufficient to keep many businesses afloat, according to officials.” Courant.
Why is the Federal government still setting milk prices? Why is the State still subsiding farms? With only 80 farms left in Connecticut each farm is getting a big fat taxpayer financed check for over 280,000 bucks! How stupid are we? Don’t tell me I already know the answer, it must be another election year! Way to go Ned, the democrats are milking the tax payers again!
And that is all I’m going to say about that!
