“The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne is a historical novel about Hester Prynne, a woman in 17th-century Puritan Boston who conceives a daughter through an affair and is forced to wear a scarlet “A” (adultery) as a symbol of shame. She struggles to build a new life while concealing the identity of her lover, creating a drama of sin, guilt, and social ostracization.” Google AI.
Today’s version of this is social media! How much of this is generated by humans versus bots is anybody guess but the point is that while much of this is striking a chord with the far right or far left it remains to be seen how much of this will withstand the test of time or history! As for Hester she was knocked up by the local minister but today if you hurt anyone’s feelings for any reason at all your “A” stands for ASSHOLE!
And that is all I’m going to say about that!
