There are some who blame Bill Clinton for over extending NATO which would create this crisis with Putin that we are facing today! Recently Henry Kissinger stated that Russia has a role to play in Europe. The fact that Russia has 6000 nuclear weapons would more than suggest that Doctor K is correct! Even the Pope is weighing in on ending all of this for realpolitik reasons.
The West has spanked Putin pretty hard and good, for us but where do you draw the line and stop spanking Russia? Yes the Ukrainians want their territory back but at what risk and cost for the rest of us? Do we start lobbying tactical nukes at each other and where does that end? The Russian people need to understand that they will be treated as a rogue State as long as Putin is in charge!
