At Yalta British Field Marshal Brooke wrote in his memoir that of the three leaders, Stalin was the smartest strategic thinker of the group. When you consider the challenging circumstances that he was confronted with he wouldn’t have survived otherwise! Knowing that he was likely going to have to face the Germans in WW2, he had someone drive an ice axe into Trotsky’s head. This prevented the Germans from doing what they did to Czar in WW1 which was to bring Lenin back to Russia.
During the Cold War most American Socialist called themselves Liberals. This was an effort to cover up their true politically philosophy. As they continue to emerge out of the political closet, they will eventually be followed by Marxist, who are either claiming to be socialist or still hiding in the closet. As Marx predicted you first went thru capitalism, then socialism, then communism. As the Demmy’s take control you should expect to see more attacks against Capitalism!
