Once again the democracies find themselves having to defend their democratic way of life against the dictatorships who are seeking to impose their way of life on them in turn! Unfortunately, in order to accomplish this millions and millions may have to give their last full measure of devotion! 

What sacrifices will the democracies have to make in order to prevail and will they be willing to make them in time! Regrettably, we do not believe that they will succeed in this endeavor and that the baton of world leadership will pass from the western democracies to the eastern dictatorships! This loss may well lead to another US Civil War as well.

I own a Honda CR-Z hybrid that recharges the electric battery off of my gas engine! This is my half a loaf fix to climate change! The problem with all electric is not only how long it takes to recharge the battery but the availability of charging stations. Way more gas stations than electric charging stations that fill up the gas tank way faster than electric ones!

If I were to purchase an all electric car it would be my second car for around the town driving! I would NEVER use it for long haul traveling until they fix the above challenges! I understand that the Chinese have 5 minute charging stations but buying Chinese is equivalent to not only making a contribution to their war machine but to making things worse for climate change!

What do Americans need to do to avoid or at least minimize these problems? Spend less and/or tax more for starters! Get control over our borders again, Build more nuclear power plants and negotiate an agreement over Taiwan? Just taxing billionaires will only drive them out of the USA and make things worse. Building only wind and solar does not solve the weather challenges plus We don’t have the political will. SORRY GRAND KIDS!

Unfortunately money currently rules our democracy and in that regard Trump raised almost $1.5 billion while Harris raised almost $2.0 billion for the 2024 campaigns. Sorry Joe but this is not just a Republican problem especially even when a last minute non-candidate like Kamala can out raise the Donald.

The fact is that if America was still great there would be no need for Trump to make it great again. From a purely economic standpoint labor intensive products should be made in labor intensive countries! However when that country(s) is a dictatorship it needs to be done very carefully. Unfortunately the idiot democrats in the West believed that Trade would turn the dictators into peace democrats! Moving forward the challenge for our so-called leaders is addressing both the potential for war with China plus a looming global economic depression! The 6400 dollar question is which one (war/depression) happens first?

The title of Henry Kissinger’s last book about Artificial Intelligence. America is a capital intensive society although the federal debt is significantly undercutting this and may well lead to a depression! The business potential of AI could well have the financial power to overcome this economic deficit for America. Plus we currently have the advantage with AI.

China is a labor intensive society and moving labor intensive manufacturing there makes complete economic sense but to allow dictators to cheat and steal high tech is a prologue to world war and given their current manufacturing advantage it could well be that the only way we can win in the pacific is allowing our military to exploit whatever advantage AI can give them!

America and the Western Democracies have dug themselves into such a big hole that they will need a Hail Mary pass thrown by AI in order to prevail over both China and Russia militarily and/or economically!

The question here is that while McDonald’s can’t discriminate against their customers should they be able to discriminate against their employees? Needless to say this is all related to the current push back on DEI which inherently is a discrimination program! I believe that companies have the right to choose their employees but not to compensate them differently by race!
