“A sexual assault case can be handled in criminal court and through the campus-run Title IX disciplinary process at the same time. In theory, the criminal proceeding could lead to prison time and the Title IX case to expulsion. In reality, serious consequences are rare in either system, said Megan Greeson, a professor of community psychology at DePaul University. She was among the authors of a review of studies involving 288,066 cases that found around 20% of those reported to police are prosecuted and 8% lead to convictions.” PBS.
Because Vietnam became an unpopular war the democrats who started that mess decided to give 18 year olds the vote! They had no idea how big of a problem they were creating for America’s colleges given the explosion of rape cases on their campuses! Instead of turning these cases over to the cops and overwhelming the judicial system they allowed the schools to handle this new found problem! What are the democrats going to do once they lower the voting age to sixteen? The simplest fix is to raise the age back to 21 but that doesn’t help the DEMS win elections!
