6 Degrees of Stupid

“In the early 2000s, Kevin (Bacon) and Kyra Sedgwick, like many wealthy individuals, looked for opportunities to grow their bank balance through investments. They were introduced to a high-return investment opportunity that seemed too good to pass up… only it turned out to be a Ponzi scheme. They were told that their money would be placed in a variety of business ventures, including real estate, hedge funds, and other investment products. At first glance, the deal seemed to offer an irresistible opportunity, however, they soon learned they and many others had been scammed by businessman Bernie Madoff.” HELLO.

What part of Bernie Made Off With All Of My Money didn’t the burnt bacons understand? Turned out that the lowest common denominator wasn’t the variety of business ventures but instead the one person they gave their money to invest! How ironic (or amazingly stupid) that his last name rhymes with MADE OFF!!! And speaking of Ponzi Schemes Generation X is about to find out that former Texas Governor was correct about Social Security!

And that is all I’m going to say about that!
