Pee Wee Herman played by Jeremy Allen White having made what appears to be a huge career ending mistake finds himself very depressed and riding his bike thru the Hollywood Hills like a complete mad man. Miss Yvonne decides to check in on him and finds him in a stupor having drunk several bottles of Sugar Free Root Beer. Pee Wee tells her that sugar is bad for the teeth and she decides to hold an intervention with his other friends; Captain Carl, Cowboy Curtis, Reba the Mail Lady, Jambi the Genie, and Mrs Renee!
After the intervention Pee Wee decides that he needs to go back home to Indiana to see his Grammy who raised him and the rest of his family in order to heal his wounds. His Grammy played by Margo Martindale had always recognized how unique and special he was and when they see each other Pee Wee breaks down in tears, while his Grammy comforts him but also scolds him that its is well past the time for him to confront and embrace the person he really is.
