Seems to me that having painted himself into a corner the only way out of it was ending his life! What a shame! I can’t help but think that the folks who helped to advance his career at Cambridge have some blood on their hands as well. At the same time he did play the race card making him just another Jussie Smollett. Too bad as it only potentially reflects poorly on other more deserving black academics!
