My twin brother was a tactical doer while I was a strategic thinker! He liked doing math and I hated it! He was in the smarter math class while I was the dumber one! Today public schools are doing more mixing of smart and dumb on the assumption that the smarter ones will help the dumber ones but of course that distracts from teaching the smarter ones even more math. How many dumb math students are going to become great Engineers or Mathematicians?
I remember when my brother pushed for equal education for his oldest son who had the IQ of a third grader and requested that he be main streamed thru High School. You understood the emotions behind his thinking but of course it made absolutely no sense attempting to educate him with a bunch of kids with 12th grade IQ’s. In the end everyone in the class was going to learn even less math with him than without him!
