“The family of a Turkish-American woman shot dead while demonstrating against Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank have demanded an independent investigation into her death. Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi, 26, was “shot in the head” while participating in a demonstration in Beita in the West Bank on Friday, the UN rights office said.” The Guardian
It’s always tragic when a young person loses their life like this but she shouldn’t have gone to the West Bank! But then neither Otto Warmbier nor James Foley should have gone to North Korea and Syria respectively! In the end they mostly just make it more dangerous for the rest of us. Take for example trading WSJ reporter Evan Gershovich for murderer!
