Matt Damon is absolutely correct that yesterday’s public schools are closer to today’s private schools! My wife who spent 20+ years working for a private school couldn’t agree more with Matt. However one of the key reasons for this is that private schools generally do not have a unionized workforce!
In the public school arena almost everyone make the honor roll and has trunk loads of trophies for coming in last place! As a result that they have never failed at anything and therefore have absolutely no idea what they are good at! The exception is Asian immigrant kids who come from hard working two family households, and who score higher on the SAT’s than white, black or brown kids!
And that is all I’m going to say about that!
