Ron DeSantis has positioned himself as another Trump which given just how fanatic the Donald’s supporters are, either bodes well for the Florida Governor in one of 3 ways! First Trump is convicted of a crime which bans him from running for President in 2024. Second, Trump runs in 2024 and chooses DeSantis as VP and third Trump loses in 2024 and DeSantis is his heir apparent in 2028.
Most of that goes out the window if Nikki Haley is the Republican nominee in 2024 and she is also more likely to beat Biden than Trump is! Nikki would be smart then to pick DeSantis for VP. Ron is only 45 so eight years from now he would only be in his early 50’s. For all of his advantages DeSantis hasn’t caught on fire because Trump has sucked all of his oxygen out of the room!
