I have a nephew who was born with Downs Syndrome and think it is great that Mattel has come out with a Downs Barbie! But the doll clearly has a milder version of Downs unlike my nephew but where is the Ken version? There are 3 types of Downs although one version accounts for 95% of all cases!
Iceland has only one or 2 children born every year with Downs but very likely due to their parents receiving inaccurate test results! In the US about 6000 babies are born with Downs Syndrome every year so not likely a big seller for Mattel. How many fetuses are aborted with Downs and how many were aborted because of inaccurate test results?
And that is all I’m going to say about that!
