In 2020 seventeen people were legally executed in America! On the other hand, 19,384 were illegally executed by guns and another 11,654 were executed by DUI drivers! We get way more worked up over 17 than we do over thousands. Stalin of course was correct that 1 death is a tragedy and a million is just a statistic!
I know that this is a fact because I work in an industry that has been alleged to have killed 4 people in house fires over the last 25 years while over the same time frame over 50,000 people died in house fires! While the four are tragic the other 49, 996 are merely a statistic. Tactically driven people only see the little picture not the bigger one.
