Congress lady AOC was complaining recently about the age of the House democrat leadership; Nancy Pelosi 82, Steny Hoyer 83, and Jim Clyburn 83. But the Speaker did acknowledge “the need for generational change in the party while noting there is no substitute for experience”.
Pelosi was first elected to Congress in 1987, Hoyer in 1981, and Jim Clyburn in 1990. Joe Biden was first elected to the US Senate in 1972 and is the most experienced democrat in DC. But only if he is capable of recalling and remembering correctly what his actual experience was! As for AOC she wants younger and browner folks taking control of the democrat party!
