NEVERLAND

I never got straight A’s, I never made the honor roll. I never got a trophy for coming in last place! And yet I wouldn’t trade my childhood for the one my kids had and for the one my grand kids are having. We had so much more freedom to discover ourselves and to be just kids! We had to invent our own entertainment with little TV and no I-phones to do that for us!

The kids today never had the opportunity to fill a red wagon full of acorns for an acorn fight or rake a large mound of leaves to roll around in. They never caught a bunch of bees in a glass jar and ran like hell after throwing the jar against a large rock. They never made a model airplane and covered it in glue setting it on fire and throwing it out their bedroom window. They never played with matches in the back of their Grandfather’s Studebaker setting it on fire! Oh those were the days!

And that is all I’m going to say about that!
