You can play a tactical or strategic game of chess! A good tactical chess player will lose almost every time to a good strategic chess player. The democracies need to elect very smart strategic leaders as opposed to the very good tactical politicians we have been electing if the democracies are going to survive in the long term!
As for the game of chess, it died the day IBM’s Big Blue beat the world champion! It has been said that A.I has beaten chess champions using strategies never before employed by humans. Why then, would we need to hire a human to do a thinking job when a machine can do it faster, better, cheaper, and 24/7/365.
