No question that Dan Quayle was no JFK and no question that the Washington Post didn’t treat Quayle the same way that Ben Bradlee treated his best bud JFK! But given the very same circumstances would the Post have criticized the alleged author of Profiles in Courage for not knowing how to spell Potato? Or would they have blamed the teacher who incorrectly wrote the card or maybe just ignored the story all together!
No question that Quayle was not the brightest light bulb in the pack and perhaps he didn’t use his big head as often as JFK used his little head. But at the end of the day it is way easier for the Democrats to run a complete incompetent than it is for the Republicans who are held to a much higher standard by the left handed media! The so-called free press is really nothing more than accomplices for one or the other political party!
And that is all I’m going to say about that!
