I remember serving on a jury involving a minor traffic accident. When I was picked for the jury I was told that 2/3rd’s settle before going to trial. Unfortunately, this case fell into the other third but I figured it would run a couple of days! It ran 12 days instead. The plaintiff lawyer had a manner and tone of talking that frankly drove me ape shit.

After 10 days of listening to this idiot all you wanted to do was to get things over with, which in hindsight is exactly why ambulance chasers talk like that. Recently I saw the Democrat Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin talk about his having been an ambulance chaser and remembered that both he and the other idiot lawyer talked exactly the same way!
