LEGACY

So Amherst College is ending their legacy program which was designed to reward the wealthy alumni who couldn’t get their kids into the school based on their performance only! You have to ask yourself who didn’t get into Harvard or Yale because they took Teddy Kennedy and George W. Bush respectively!

My daughter was waited listed at Harvard while one of her classmates got a full ride to play hockey their. Don’t get me wrong not all dumb jocks are in fact dumb, always exceptions to every rule! Ironic then that the wealthy found a way to get their kids in top school by claiming that they were dumb jocks instead! Getting rid of legacy admissions is just a start. Time for the Ivy League and others to get rid of both legacy and athletic admissions!

And that is all I’m going to say about that!
