Their son could have murdered a couple of non-family members instead which frankly would have been worse and then we are really asking questions on why he wasn’t committed! Given that the overwhelming percentage of victims are family members perhaps society should be making this decision for them instead! You understand the emotionally driven decision making of the Reiners just like the social media campaign to free Britney but in the end it just didn’t work in either case. We need to use less heart and more brain with our decision making!
