Today’s political environment reminds me of the mid-1800’s leading up to the US Civil War! The one big difference is that the existing political power structure had not successfully frozen out third parties and so beginning in the !850’s the Republican Party successfully emerged with the election of one of America’s best presidents Abraham Lincoln. Instead today we find ourselves bouncing back between Trump and Biden!
In 2024 I wrote an email to Mitt Romney requesting that he register with the State that I live in so that I could write in his name for the Presidency but as I expected never heard back on this! I couldn’t just write in his name as he had to register with the State and frankly wasn’t surprised that this obstacle existed! Was Romney the next Lincoln? Will never know but it sure as hell wasn’t Biden or Trump. So get yourself ready to run for cover!
And that is all I’m going to say about that!
