“Washington Post C.E.O. Will Lewis Steps Down After Stormy Tenure. His departure came days after the company cut 30 percent of the staff. He will be replaced in the interim by Jeff D’Onofrio, the chief financial officer, the company said.” NY Times. Bezos and Lewis likely understood that Post reporters would never move on as long as Lewis was in charge!
When companies appoint their bean counters (CFO) to CEO it’s an acknowledgement that the company is allegedly in some sort of a financial death spiral. Print is dead but WAPO’s socialist/marxist employees believe that their billionaire owner should have to blindly pick up whatever WAPO’s “workers” wish to spend. Isn’t capitalism great!
And that is all I’m going to say about that!
