“Two countries have blocked the Grok app after it was widely used to generate non-consensual near-nude (bikinis) deepfakes of women and children. A third country is currently carrying out an investigation. Three (democrat) US senators have asked Apple to temporarily remove both X and Grok from the US App Store due to “sickening content generation,” and we are still awaiting the company’s response” 9to5Mac.com. 

When the Internet first started it struck me that is was being driven by porn sites! I worked with someone who was convicted of having child porn and it seems to me that generating AI fake child porn is better than generating real child porn but I completely understand societies objection to both! That said perhaps we should focus on getting rid of the real kind first and then address the fake kind as long as it doesn’t involve using real people to create it! Could the fake kind help to eliminate the real kind?
