If Trump “wins” then he is correct that our career politicians did a crappy job on trade!
Faced with increasing prices for imported items American consumers will make the decision to either go without or buy an American made brand that is now more competitively priced! This means that we are exporting fewer American dollars overseas and/or creating more American jobs which is a win/win! The democrats are predicting a lose/lose for American consumers! If they are wrong it will be a lose/lose proposition for democrats in the next election!
And that is all I’m going to say about that!
This assumes that America makes a substitute that is both acceptable quality wise while price competitive! If Americans continue to buy imported goods then inflation will become an issue!
