My Irish ancestors came to America during the potato fame while my German father came to America during the roaring twenties! Unlike Jerry I’m not a fan of open borders! Back in the day when the country was virtually empty and the Federal Government obtained its resources from the sale of land it made complete sense to welcome people who were healthy and could take care of themselves!
Unfortunately none of those conditions apply today and immigrants have become a huge financial drag on our social safety network. Not only that but we are facing world war 3 which has the capability of killing 6 billion people in 6 seconds! In addition A.I. is going to have a significant negative impact on employment levels.
And that is all I’m going to say about that!
