The Eastern Europeans (including East Germany) and the ex-Soviet States understand that the threat isn’t just from the far Right but even more so from the far Left as represented by Stalin’s successor Putin. The German far Left very stupidly thought they could buy peace thru trade with an ex-KGB officer! Can you imagine how absurd that is and which resulted in war with Ukraine!
