In the past the Longshoreman union didn’t necessarily have the best reputation but today they are pushing back on automation to preserve jobs much like the Auto Union did back in the day when Detroit made cars! Just like in jolly ole England when the empire goes into decline the trade unions begin to rear its head!
America no longer dominates the world economy but rather is dominated by it. Whether it is the Unions at Boeing, the TEAMSTERS or the UAW, America’s decline will accelerate. Robots of the hands and brain will launch the next empire! Let us hope for our grand kids sake that it is a democracy but don’t hold your breath!
