I remember when I lived in Elgin, IL that there was a shoe store with this name that was sued by ABC’s World Wide of Sports for infringing on their trademark! I remember getting a US trademark only to be told that I was infringing on another company who had the same name on its product but had never trademarked it! Turns out that even if you own the trademark you may not really “own” it! CRAZY….
Now as for the Olympics the Men’s 100 meter race you run on your feet and they should be the first thing to have to cross the finish line in order to win but apparently not so! Now that’s what I call the real agony of defeat!
