In 1974 there were 20 million viewers and 50 years later less than 5 million viewers! This is what happens when your #1 priority changes from Entertainment to Political Indoctrination! In 2018-19 season over 14 million attended a Broadway show but over 2 million fewer attended last year!
The 6400 dollar question is attendance down because of the quality of the work or the potential quality of experience given cost and crime in NYC? Personally I wasn’t impressed with the musical performances on Sunday night! Tony’s, Emmy’s and Oscar’s are all bleeding viewers!
