Back in the day you had a volunteer military of which I was required to register for the selective service. When I turned 18 they held the draft and I received a very high number and was not drafted. My oldest brother enlisted and served for 4 years at the Army Quartermasters HQ in St. Louis. He graduated from High School with someone who was killed in Vietnam!
Today we have a professional Army so there is no current requirement for military service. Not only that many college students are no longer required to repay the school loans they agreed to pay back! Unfortunately today we are raising a generation that is asking what the country can do for them! Say goodbye to the American Empire!
