The NY Times is talking about all of the wonderful things Biden is doing in order to protect America from China but of course is saying nothing about why we need to do this in the first case! The fact is that Joe and the Peace Democrats were sure that Free Trade with China would promote democracy there! The Republicans are not guiltless here either!
Unfortunately they were completely wrong just like their Peace in our Times cousins in the 1920’s and 30’s! The democracies are now facing much more difficult decisions, two of which is the re-unification of both China and Korea! Unfortunately the nicer class of folks are in charge in America and they would never go for this, insuring a worst case WW 3.
And that is all I’m going to say about that!
