As a member in good standing of the Sticks and Stones generation I recognized that while this was an imperfect standard of behavior it was also designed to maximize Free Speech! Today if you make anyone cry you might actually find yourself being arrested for hate speech and because feelings vary from person to person it has the effect of minimizing Free Speech!
While the Right wants to ban Jane with Dick, Dick with Vagina books the Left wants to ban whatever they think is Hate Speech! However Free Speech is not an absolute Right as you can’t yell “Fire” in a crowded theater unless of course there is a fire in the theater!
And that is all I’m going to say about that!
