Great TV show, there is an episode involving Columbus Day where the indigenous throw rotten tomatoes at the white residents of Cicely, Alaska. The Jewish Doctor Fleischman took great offense at this as he didn’t consider himself to be white but rather Jewish instead!
I get this as Jews were not welcome in many “white” clubs and as Groucho Marx used to say that he would refuse to join any club that would have him as a member! He also said “Those are my principles, and if you don’t like them… well, I have others”. But my favorite quote of his is “The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing. If you can fake that, you’ve got it made.”
And that is all I’m going to say about that!
