No to Antisemitism

Adopt the following non-legally binding working definition of antisemitism:

“Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities.”

  • Calling for, aiding, or justifying the killing or harming of Jews in the name of a radical ideology or an extremist view of religion. This is absolutely correct but that is a sword that cuts both ways!
  • Making mendacious, dehumanizing, demonizing, or stereotypical allegations about Jews as such or the power of Jews as collective — such as, especially but not exclusively, the myth about a world Jewish conspiracy or of Jews controlling the media, economy, government or other societal institutions. Jewish Americans have done very well in America and their wealth and control of some influential media has provided them influence beyond their 2.8% of American voters!
  • Accusing Jews as a people of being responsible for real or imagined wrongdoing committed by a single Jewish person or group, or even for acts committed by non-Jews. So you can’t blame Bibi or Likud for anything without being considered an anti-Semite?
  • Denying the fact, scope, mechanisms (e.g. gas chambers) or intentionality of the genocide of the Jewish people at the hands of National Socialist Germany and its supporters and accomplices during World War II (the Holocaust). Who do they consider to be supporters and accomplices?
  • Accusing the Jews as a people, or Israel as a state, of inventing or exaggerating the Holocaust. The German Holocaust did happen and was unbelievably awful.
  • Accusing Jewish citizens of being more loyal to Israel, or to the alleged priorities of Jews worldwide, than to the interests of their own nations. On the heels of 2000 years of discrimination followed by the Holocaust that is a very understandable reaction.
  • Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor. I can’t speak to Israel being racist but it is an Apartheid State!
  • Applying double standards by requiring of it a behavior not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation. For example requiring Israel to honor the Palestinian Right of Return.
  • Using the symbols and images associated with classic antisemitism (e.g., claims of Jews killing Jesus or blood libel) to characterize Israel or Israelis. But it is okay to accuse Pope Pius IV looking the other way during the holocaust!
  • Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis. So it should be illegal to accuse Netanyahu of committing Nazi like actions? IE killing ten Palestinians for every one Jewish person killed by Hamas recently!
  • Holding Jews collectively responsible for actions of the state of Israel. Israel is a Jewish democracy and collectively should be held accountable for the country’s actions!

What is a Jewish perception and if we hurt any Jewish person’s feeling are we going to be classified as being Anti-Semitic? I’m saying NO to this definition! For more on this see link below;

And that is all I’m going to say about that!

The democratically elected Prime Minister welcomed in public a Jewish- American traitor and spy for Israel. Is this anti-Semitic or am I being just pro-American?
