As a kid they taught you how to spell Mississippi! Many years later while driving thru Mississippi on my way to visit a customer in Philadelphia I was wracking my brain trying to remember why I had even heard of the place! I finally concluded that I was just confusing myself with the one located in P*E*N*N*S*Y*L*V*A*N*I*A.
That is until I stopped there for lunch at a Sambo’s Restaurant. It hit me like a lightning bolt when I realized that this was the location of the 3 civil rights kids who had been murdered in 1964. In the movie they show a black guy threatening to cut the mayor’s balls off, in actuality the FBI brought in a Lucchese Hit Man to do what the G-Men would call a black bag job!
And that is all I’m going to say about that.
