Some 50 years ago the US Supreme Court voted 7-2 in favor of Roe versus Wade allowing abortions in the USA. Based on what is going on today you would assume that the 7 Supreme’s voting in favor would have all been appointed by democrat Presidents! In fact, only 2 of the 7 were appointed by democrats (FDR and JFK), while the other 5 were appointed by republicans (Ike-2, Nixon-3).
Of the 2 who voted against Roe, one was appointed by JFK, while the other was appointed by Nixon. Today’s Supreme reversed the Roe versus Wade vote of their predecessors but with all 6 republican appointed judges voting to repeal while all 3 democrat appointed judges voting to retain Roe. Frankly an amazing shift from bi-partisan to partisan politics in America!
