He used to say that you should never confuse effort with results! In other words you have someone who works really hard but continues to fail in getting the desired results. The fact is that some folks can work less hard but get better results! Many tactical driven people tend to be focused on quantity as opposed to quality.
He also used to say that it is just a matter of priority. So you have a very hard working tactical person who can’t do any more than they are but are they working on the right or best priorities? The tactically driven first mate of the Titanic could drive the boat or look for icebergs he couldn’t do both! He clearly made the wrong choice!
