Once Biden okayed the certification of Nord Stream 2 Putin took that as his green light to move against Ukraine! Unfortunately for Putin he overestimated Russia’s military skills to conquer the country very quickly or underestimated Ukraine’s ability to push back! Either way not good for Vladimir!
Putin has opened a real can of worms for himself and his country and is now scaling back to what he should have done in the first place! That is to say take over the Russian speaking area of the Donbas. Had this been his original plan he would have been done before the West would have responded. Now he has stuck himself with a real long term mess which hopefully he will not attempt to fix with nukes!
