Obama spoke at Stanford University last week about regulating social media. He rightly said that the divisions in America existed before the internet, but that it needed to be regulated because of white supremacy, racism, and nationalism. Now that Elon Musk has purchased Twitter the Left now has another reason to silence the Right!
This is nothing new during the decline of the UK empire in the 20″s and 30″s the BBC silenced dissident views including those of Churchill and former PM Lloyd George from appearing on the BBC. Churchill’s frustration grew so great that he offered the BBC 100 pounds to allow him to make one broadcast! When the BBC declined his offer he said “the BBC was debarring public men access to a public who wish to hear” Here we go again!
