A bunch of white republican senators are asking if the first black woman nominee to the Supreme Court will adhere to the original intent of the constitution. The original intent did not recognize either black people or women so in-spite of saying that she would, it is not very likely that will be the case to any real extent!

I think that it is great that we are adding another woman to the US Supreme Court, who is in fact and reality the successor to Thurgood Marshall on the SJC! This isn’t a knock on Justice Thomas who brings his own black perspective to the bench but which is likely very different than either Marshall’s or Brown Jackson’s was or is!

And that is all I’m going to say about that!
