The alleged working title for Tolstoy’s epic novel War and Peace! If you are the Ukrainians or the average Russian not so much lately! But no question that the Chinese and Taiwanese are following this one very closely to see just how much the West is willing to sacrifice on behalf of the democratic Ukrainians today and Taiwanese tomorrow!
With respect to Russia where the West does little trade but for oil and gas, the response to shutting down these purchases has been frankly way too little, way too late to save the Ukraine! China on the other hand is the world’s manufacturer for which the Western democracies are even more dependent! If the West is unwilling to shutdown a Russian pipeline then in the end China’s war for Taiwan may go far easier for the Chinese!
And that is all I’m going to say about that!
