It was the lying sack of shit LBJ who told us that he would not send our boys to fight in Southeast Asia but just like FDR he had no intention of keeping that promise! The big difference is that FDR would win his war and had we voted for Goldwater we might have won in Vietnam as well. Our idiot leaders would go on to fix this problem by eliminating citizen soldiers altogether!
This effectively disconnected any responsibility of our citizens to personally defend the Nation and made it far easier for our idiot leaders to send our professional soldiers to Iraq and Afghanistan! Those moron’s included W. Bush, R. Cheney, B. Obama, and J. Biden. Can you imagine just how much more difficult it would have been for those clowns had they had to draft our sons and daughters to fight these lost causes?
