The obverse of boiling frog syndrome in that the water gets increasingly colder! The greatest generation produced the greatest economic powerhouse in the world! Their baby boomer kids needed both spouses to work in order to replicate their parents life style! The Millennial generation grand kids required both spouses and the mounting federal debt in order to do the same!
Once again the tactical frog is accepting of this new norm while the strategic frog recognizes that this increasing debt load is producing a colder long term economic trend! We are not only increasing the debt limit but moving to increase taxes at the same time. This might be okay if we were using these tax increases to pay down the federal debt but unfortunately that is not the case at all.
And that is all I’m going to say about that!
