No we are not talking about the sort of things that they said in Grumpy Old Men movie outtakes. But the fact is that if you are a cockeyed optimist you tend to under estimate threats and if you are a cockeyed pessimist you tend to over estimate threats. The important question here is it the kind of threat that you are likely to survive or not.
America would survive both Hitler and Tojo and after the War Stalin as well but of course the USA was on the way up to becoming the World Leader. Today, China is very much on the rise and can American cockeyed optimists survive should they continue to underestimate China? No question that the West thru the WHO, the WTO and the UN have done so!
And that is all I’m going to say about that.
