There have been 12 US Presidents who have been Generals. Every US President has been our Commander in Chief. People were relieved that Trump was surrounding himself with Generals and along comes General Austin and some in Congress are bent out of shape about the lack of civilian control over the Pentagon.
Ironic because a former Obama Defense Secretary has stated that Biden has gotten every major foreign policy decision including Iraq #2 wrong over the last 25 years. Plus he was way younger when he made those dumb decisions while also having a somewhat better functioning brain. We are moving into more difficult times and according to some experts we could be facing a potential war with China. Seems to me Biden has a more compelling reason to appoint a General to lead the Pentagon than Trump had. I just hope he’s another Mad Dog!
