First off I wish the ladies would come up with their own word to describe Menstruation! Let’s take the “men” out of this altogether. My wife no longer has her period as she has already gone thru menopause. I wouldn’t recommend changing the name for that as it does tend to give men a ‘oh my god what the hell is going on” pause!
But I do think that as we move away from all penis versus all vagina sporting events to whatever it is you wish to bring here, that those who still menstruate may find themselves increasingly at a disadvantage especially during times when they are actually menstruating! I do also wonder if it will ever be politically correct for Hollywood to make another movie with the line “I’m just a girl standing in front of a boy hoping he will love her”. Stay Tuned!
